The 1/2 Marathon race is held under UK Athletics Rules and SAL permit.
How to Enter
- Carefully fill in the correct entry form overleaf in ball-point pen, tear off the
section, and send with the correct entry fee to the following address:
Race Secretary, South Lanarkshire Leisure, North Stand, Cadzow Avenue,
Hamilton, ML3 0LX. (Telephone 01698 476118)
- The entry fee now includes postage of your race number, information pack
and race chip.You do not need to send a stamped address enelope with your entry
fee.
- Closing date for entries is Thursday 12th June 2008. Entries must be received
by 5pm. Please note that no entries will be accepted on the race day.

Entry Fee:
- 10k - £13.00 (Scottish Athletics Member)
- 10k - £15.00 (all other entrants)
- For the 10K please add £5.00 to the above for entries posted after
30/05/08
- 1/2 Marathon - £17.00 (Scottish Athletics Member)
- 1/2 Marathon - £19.00 (all other entrants)
- For the 1/2 marathon please add £5.00 to the above for entries
posted after 30/05/08
- Cheques and postal orders should be crossed and made payable to:
Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd. (Do not send cash)
- Please put the runner's name and address on the back of the cheque.
- £1 from every entry fee will be donated to our
chosen charity.
Additional Information:
- The race entry limit across both races is 2009 runners.
- Minimum age 17+ years on day of race for Half Marathon.
- Minimum age 15+ years on day of race for 10k fun run.
- The Wheelchair Race will be over the 10k course only.
- Wheelchair entrants - the wheelchair race will start before the rest of the field
for safety reasons.
- For reasons of safety, please no entries from people on roller-blades, in beds,
wheel-barrows, pushchairs, unicycles, prams, baby joggers etc.
- No pets, dogs, or horses.
- If you have any pre-existing medical condition, please provide this information
to the organisers along with your entry form, or by calling the telephone number listed above.
- The race organisers, South Lanarkshire Leisure will begin sending out race
information 4 weeks before the event.
- Full prize list will be listed in the race information pack.
- Free Park & Ride from Brancumhall Recreation Area.
- No Parking available at John Wright Sport Centre.

Course Information
- Fast, flat course on roads and cycleways.
- Start and finish at John Wright Sports Centre.
- One and two lap circuits comprising Kingsway, East Mains Road, West Mains Road and
Queensway.
- 1/2 M - Two laps totalling 13.1 miles (course accurately measured
and SAL certified).
- 10k - One lap of course (course accurately measured
and SAL certified).
